ISL London Student Wins ISSA Golf 2017

October 12,2017

A big congratulations to the young golfers Garett (G8) and Rose (G10F) for bringing the first place trophy back to ISL.

"On our very first entry to the ISSA Golf tournament, we are extremely proud of our students for their achievement after a two day intense competition," said PE teacher Mrs Delelis.

Twenty eight golfers came from seven different International Schools (Egham, Southbank, Marymount, London, Aberdeen, Barcelona and Madrid) to take part in the competition. A massive well done to Rose, who not only brought back the Top Female Golfer trophy but also took first place in the overall ranking!

"I was happy to meet so many people from different countries sharing the same interest and I am proud to bring back a trophy to the school in my first year at ISL. It was also a good experience for me to improve my English around golf conversations,"  said Rose from G10F.

"It was a long and difficult 18 course, which required endurance and lots of concentration over a 4-5 hours straight competition. We played competitively but helped each other on the way. So it was long and tiring but it helped us to improve and it made me willing to play more and more," said Garrett from G8.

Both Rose and Gareth are great inspiration for all golf lovers. Go Foxes!!!
