Autumn Afternoon Tea Concert 2017

Autumn Afternoon Tea Concert 2017

November 17,2017

The Autumn Tea Concert set a very high bar. Students from both primary and secondary performed in front of their parents and peers.

Great fun as had by all as they performed to a good standard. Amongst the great performances were Karolina and Matthew violin/accordion sister/brother duo who played the theme music from Amelie; Saho’s brilliant performance of Baumkuchen on piano; Charlie’s Whiplash drum accompaniment and Oscar’s bass accompaniment to Mr Cosby, playing Under Pressure and Maya’s vocal no., ‘Take me to Church’.

The new ISL Jazz group performed towards of the show – an exhilarating compilation of C’jam Blues, Watermelon Man and finishing off with the ever-popular “Oye Como Va“ with great audience participation. The concert finished with a surprising opera duo from Puccini sung by covering drum teacher, Florin and his partner Andrada to a stunned audience.

Thank you to everyone who contributed to the success of the show!

The message is clear: Music is very much thriving at ISL and let’s develop it even more, and have more students signing up for instrumental music lessons as well as Jazz Group.
